Process & Results
P-SHOT 100™
Step 1.
Prepare the plasma
First, your blood will be drawn. Using a centrifuge, the blood will be spun to isolate platelets. This portion takes approximately 12-15 minutes in the office.
Step 2.
Numb the Area
One of the practitioners will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area.
Step 3.
Inject the plasma
After the numbing cream has taken affect one of the Practitioners will use a small needle to carefully and gently place precise amounts of plasma in the proper areas of the penis. Patients report that they feel no pain during the P-Shot® portion of the procedure.
Step 4.
Inject the BOTOX®
Another small needle will be used to carefully and gently place 100 Units of BOTOX® in the corpus cavernosi of the penis. Patients report that they feel no pain during the Bocox™ portion of the procedure.
Step 5.
Penis Pump
A penis pump is used for 15 minutes. We recommend the usage of a specific penis pump immediately after the injection and to continue with a specific schedule for approximately 6 weeks after the procedure. This helps to bring blood flow to the penis and increase the growth of new blood vessels.
Step 6.
Results
1 treatment produces results that are satisfactory for most men. If erectile function is severely impaired, improvements may be sufficient after 1 treatment or additional treatment may be desirable to achieve more results. Additional treatment can be performed 3 months after initial treatment, if necessary. Maintenance treatment is recommended in 12-18 months, or when benefits decrease, after initial treatment. Some men prefer to have treatment every 6-12 months because the benefit is so great. The individual recommendation for therapy can be determined at your initial treatment.
HOW DOES P-SHOT 100™ WORK?
The P-Shot 100™ in Ankeny, Iowa uses plasma with Rich Growth Factors to improve erectile dysfunction and sexual performance. What is plasma? It’s created from a small sample of the patient’s blood that is spun in a centrifuge and divided into separate components. Activation of the plasma results in the release of growth factors that would normally be used to heal injured tissue. These growth factors increase collagen and elastin, and promote the formation of new blood vessels and nerve endings. We couple that with the injection of BOTOX® into the corpus cavernosi of the penis. The mechanism of action of BOTOX® in the penis seems to be partly due to the relaxation of the smooth muscle of the arterioles, resulting in increased blood flow (and even a small increase in length in one study). This increase erection firmness by increasing arterial flow is exactly how Viagra and Tri-mix injections work. In two separate studies, the injection of BOTOX®was helpful to some men (not all ) for whom Viagra and Cialis had quit working.
The P-Shot 100™ in Ankeny, Iowa rejuvenates male enhancement by promoting healing and increased blood flow to the penis, which ultimately strengthens the erection and enhances appearance.
Things that may cause the P-Shot 100™ to be less effective include:
- Smoking
- Lack of exercise
- Vascular disease
- Uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure
- History of heart attack, coronary artery disease
- Not using the penis pump, as prescribed, for at least six weeks
